Africa
The origins of church partnerships with Africa date back to the activities of the Rhenish and Bethel Mission to Cameroon, Congo, Namibia, South Africa and Tanzania in the 19th and 20th century. Nowadays partnerships with Africa are created in cooperation with the United Evangelical Mission (UEM), which is a communion of churches in three continents, with the head office in Wuppertal. The Evangelical Church of Westphalia is one of Germany’s UEM member churches. There are also numerous Westphalian church district partnerships with Africa, particularly with:
- Cameroon
- Congo
- Namibia
- South Africa and
- Tanzania
