Liability for linked pages

Judgment 312 O 85/98 – "liability for linked pages" – of the Regional Court of Hamburg dated 12 May 1998 states that by creating a link a person can, under certain circumstan­­ces, be held liable for the contents of the linked pages and according to the Court this can only be avoided by explicitly dissociating oneself from the contents of these pages.

We therefore wish to take the precaution of dissociating ourselves from the liability for the contents of all links to this server. This statement is valid for all present and future linked pages and sub-links.
